About Us
Serving those in need, creating meaningful jobs for adults with disabilities and helping people re-entering the community from West Central are all big jobs. But our God is bigger! As the Body of Christ, we come together to serve in the name of Christ and to answer His Call. At Second Chances, we welcome everyone from every area church to join the effort. Together we can change and improve lives in the name of Jesus, right here in our own community.

- Your donations create meaningful jobs for adults with developmental disabilities
through the sorting, pricing, and recycling of donated items at UCO Industries. - Proceeds from sales help fund the emergency assistance program (E.A.P.) at the Hope Center and helps fund their other anti-poverty programs.
- Proceeds also make Preschool and Pre-K, Kindergarten, and grades 1-6 more affordable at Trinity Lutheran School for every family seeking a Christian based, academically excellent education. (Note – about 1/3 of the children at Trinity attend other churches, 1/3 have no church and only about 1/3 are actually Trinity members).
- Shopping at the store creates jobs for men and women completing their community service from West Central Community. Correctional Facility, and helps them to transition successfully back into their communities.
- And literally tons of clothes and housewares are re-used, re-purposed and kept from going to the landfill.

Trinity offers a Christian education from pre-k through grade 6. Trinity is recognized for its smaller class sizes, excellence in the classroom, a focus of living a Christian Life and student’s personal growth/enrichment. Trinity serves children from numerous area churches, and about 1/3 of the enrollment is children with no church affiliation.

2nd Chances Thrift Store provides Men and Women in their final weeks of the program an opportunity to complete required community service in a nurturing, faith based Christian workplace. The goal is to help these individuals successfully transition back into the community by developing job skills, good work habits and positive references for future employment. https://www.wcccf.org/
